The Institute

The International Cyanide Management Institute, (Institute) is established for the purpose of administering the "International Cyanide Management Code For The Manufacture, Transport and Use of Cyanide in the Production of Gold", and to develop and providing information on responsible cyanide management practices and other factors related to cyanide use in the gold mining industry.

The Institute's primary responsibilities are to administer the International Cyanide Management Code for gold mining, promote the Code's adoption and implementation, evaluate its implementation, manage the certification process and to make information on the safe management practices for cyanide widely available.
